Q. I have a Half Arabian. He is a Quarter Horse Arabian cross, is he eligible to be a NSH?
A. Yes, any and ALL Half Arabians are now eligible to be registered NSH. All you have to do is fill out the application on the NSH website (nshregistry.org) there is one specifically for horses already registered as Half Arabians. Send it in, with copy of Half Arabian papers, draw markings and send money to NSHR PO Box 862 Lewisburg OH 45338
ALL REGISTERED National Show Horses are eligible for prize money
Q. Do I have to qualify for NSH Finals?
A. No not in the regular slate of classes. You DO HAVE TO QUALIFY for Equitation and UPHA. The only qualification for NSH equitation is that you compete in a NSH equitation class during the 9013 season, which starts 9-30-12. UPHA has their own rules, you do not have to qualify in a NSH UPHA class, you can qualify in a UPHA all breed class.
Q. I have heard that if you do not qualify at a show before finals that I will not be eligible for prize money. Is this true?
A. NOT TRUE you do NOT have to qualify except in equitation.
Q. I understand you have Arabian classes. Is this true?
A. Yes and we also offer and pay prize money in those classes. These classes do count for AHA qualifications and depending on the US national qualification rules and deadline they will count for US Nationals. They also qualify you for Region 11.
Q. What if I need a class not in the schedule?
A. We do offer TBA classes.
