Florida photographer, graphic designer and marketing specialist Brandy Johnson started early as a professional working for her father’s printing and direct mail company.
Her interest in horses came naturally and just as early with her mother providing the interest and encouragement. A rider since the age of eight, Brandy frequently works with and successfully exhibits her own horses as an amateur, in addition to some belonging to friends and associates. She shows near her home in Ocala, Florida and on the Regional and National levels as well.
Brandy began photographing at horse shows in her twenties and accepted commitments for major photographic shoots at noted farms and training centers shortly thereafter. Her photographs have been featured on the front covers of the Arabian Horse Times, the Arabian Horse World and on the covers of the RESULTS at horse shows.
“I even won an award from the Equine Photographer’s Network in the Head Study division,” Brandy says. “It was from one of my very first farm photo shoots.”
“I am a self-taught photographer and graphic designer,” Brandy notes, “but that doesn’t mean I made it without any assistance! I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people who helped pave the way for me every day on my journey. I wouldn’t have gotten far without my best clients … my best friends! Rohara Arabians, Gemini Ranch, Dale Brown, Zerlotti Equine, Acevedo Arabians, Shada Arabians, Whitmojo Arabians and everyone else who gave me a chance. Thank you! Thank you for believing in this girl’s dream.”
Brandy Johnson lives in Florida with her two daughters McKenzie and Madison.
